Francisco's Birthday!
Our New Home is Portland!
So we are finally moved in, though not completly unpacked! We are working on that, but it's hard when you don't have a couch yet and your kitchen is maybe 1/4 the size we moved from, but it will happen it's just going to take creativity! I haven't gotten to be home very much this first week as I had to finish up work in Eugene. Thankfully I was able to get a job fast here in Portland working for Oregon Health Sciences University or OHSU as most know it, as an office assistant in the Center for Womens Health. I am very excited about it and should be starting sometime next week, they just have to make sure I'm not some hardend criminal who does drungs! Francisco is loving his short 10min walking commute to work, it could be a little warmer but it is nice when you can walk home for lunch! He has been doing lots to get our address changed on everything under the sun and getting the esscentials set up like cable and internet! Now that the headache of the move is behind us we are looking forward to having the chance to settle into our new suroundings and explore! Last night Dec 4th, Francisco's b-day by the way, we took the street car to the movies, I thought it was awesome! We look forward to more fun times here in our new home town or Portland, and I am serious come see us!

New Car
So since we are down sizing when we move to Portland and Francisco will only be 3 blocks from his office, we traded in both of our cars for 1 new one! We got a Volkswagen Passat, wagon! I love it! I am keeping up the tradition of Volkswagen in my family, it may not be a bug but they still appreciate it! My favorite feature is the heated seats, they are very nice!
1 Year Anniversary!
So we made it! One year down so very many more to go! It has been a crazy busy, emotionally trying, filled with tears and laughter kind of year with my husband! We now understand why people say that your first year of marriage is the most difficult! But though we may have been put through some tests we passed them all, coming out stronger and more connected.
We started our 1st year together with a beautiful wedding, that we had a blast at celebrating our vows and then we went on an awesome honeymoon in San Francisco, which was a wonderful time of just being together! After we got back we were thrown straight into a crazy year!
Francisco had to have emergency surgery to have his appedix out at the begining of the year, we traveled down to San Diego, I got sick all with in a few months. At the begining of the summer we lost my grandma, and I couldn't imagine not having my new husband by side to help support me and my family through that most difficult time! After we recovered a little from that we focused on recovering from the news of being moved to Portland! We now have become excited to move, but you really didn't want to see how stressed it made us when we first found out! We then got to take a fun trip to Vegas with our great friends Brooke and Andy! It was an awesome week and great to get out of town for awhile!
There was more but not worth mentioning now! We ended our first year with a nice weekend of just the two of us and 1 very cold night of camping on the coast, we only stayed one night because it was so cold at night, and dinner and movie! It was great to have my husband all to myself for a whole weekend!
We are looking forward to our married life ahead. We are surviving marriage and the obsticals life trys to put in the way, and are looking forward to facing more of life's chalanges together! We are starting our second year together with an eventual move to Portland and what happens next we shall see!
Much Peace,
Heather
A Wonderful Weekend in September!
So I know this one is late in posting but I am playing some catch up! Lots has been going on, busy, busy, busy!
Anywho! The weekend of September 19th, my brothers birthday by the way, my brother and I drove our Grandpa up to Seattle! We met up with our cousins, just missing 3 of us, and took our Gpa to a Mariners vs Yankee game! It was so much fun! The game didn't go in the Mariners favor and it may have been freezing cold, but we all had a blast and it was great for us to get to spen time together and with our Gpa like that!
On our drive back to Oregon, we made an unexpected stop... it went like this.
Heather- "Hey, Josh have you ever made it to the Air museume yet?"
Josh- "No, but I have wanted to go every time I am up here!
Josh looks in back seat...
Josh- "Hey Grandpa would you want to go to the Air Museume?"
Gpa- "I'm just along for the ride!"
Exit approaching very fast on right.
Josh vers off and we go!
Now if you have ever gone to a museume with my brother you know that you are not leaving until he has seen everything, including the items in the gift shop! I didn't mind though, it was so much fun to go there with my brother and Gpa! Gpa showed us every plane that he had worked on during the war and told us soooooo many awesome stories!
I cherish every moment I get with my family especially my Gpa! He means so much to me and alway has and always will!
The pictures at the top are of Gpa with all of his grandsons (Josh, Ian and Jeremy) and Gpa looking great at the game. Marissa, Carl and Leslie (Carl and Leslie are the sig others of Marisa and Ian) also were there!

New adventure for the Grays!

So as many of you already know, we are going to be moving to Portland! We found out a couple of months ago that the company that Francisco works for, Garage Games, is relocating from Eugene to both Portland, OR and Las Vegas, NV. Thankfully his section of the company is going to Portland! At first it was a HUGE shock to the system, but as things have settled down a bit we have been looking at this as an awesome opportunity to try a new place to live and hey why not, right?
We have decided to try and rent our house out and then become renters ourselves in Portland! We are looking for places downtown and have found a couple of great options, do we go funky and modern or old and eclectic? Lots of choices! And yes if you are thinking it, we will have an area for guests to stay, it may be a pull out couch but if you need a place to crash to catch a plane or are going to a concert, or you just want to go shopping in downtown with me, guests are welcome!
So it's another thing to add to our first year of marriage that will ultimately allow us to grow in so many ways, and I am looking forward to stepping into a new adventure with my husband!
Wish us luck!
Peace always,
Heather

Labor Day Weekend

So we had a very busy Labor Day weekend, traveling yet again! Francisco headed to Seattle for PAX, a gaming convention that he has always wanted to attend and got the opportunity to go with the company he works for! He had a blast and came home with lots of swag (t-shirts and what nots). I headed to the Portland area to visit my dad. We explored Portland and did lots philosophizing about the way the world should be! Josh, Amber and Skittles came for the weekend also, it was fun catching up with everyone! On Labor Day Monday Francisco and I had dinner with his sister Jennifer! I showed Acasha how to make one of her uncles favorite dishes, I love spending time with her like that! I also got to get in some really good snuggle time with Little Joe! Over all it was a wonderful weekend and we are glad to be home together again! Sophie would like us to not leave for a very long time, she hasn't let us forget that we have not been home! In the coming weeks I am looking forward to going to a baseball game up in Seattle which should be fun! Francisco has decided to stay home and relax, too much traveling going on for him right now, Sophie is happy about that! Lots of birthdays are coming up including my own, so looking forward to doing a lot of celebrating! Peace, Heather

Vegas Baby
So we went to Las Vegas, or as my mom calls it "Lost Wages!" We went we are very good friends Brooke and Andy, they invited us to go with them! We spent a week there, which we all decided is probably a little too long to stay there! It was a whirlwind week we did so many things, we saw shows, gambled, walked and walked the strip, saw the Hoover Dam, jet skied on lake Mead, went to Fremont St, saw Dolphins at the Mirage, hung out with the celebs at Madame T's and generally just had a great time! The Saturday we were there was Andy's 32nd birthday so we went to the Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur, it was a ton of fun and the boys yelled and hollered the whole time! Hazah! Brooke and I went out dancing at Paris which was fun! On Sunday we saw the Cirque show Zumanity, an erotic version of Cirque! It was funny, beautiful and fun! On Tuesday we saw the Blueman Group, which was hilariously fun! Great music and comedy! Francisco was tagged on the nose by one of them! Vegas was fun but I am glad to be home!
Here we go!
So I have decided to create a blog! I think it will be about me and my family, what we are up to and the what nots, plus I will post things that I have found that are of interest to me! I know that I love to take peeks into other peoples lives and thoughts so I thought I would jump on too. I don't know how often I will post so check when ever and there might be something new! I know the address is Heather and Francisco, but it will probably all come from me, just some things if not a lot will invovle him! ~Heather
