New Car

So since we are down sizing when we move to Portland and Francisco will only be 3 blocks from his office, we traded in both of our cars for 1 new one! We got a Volkswagen Passat, wagon! I love it! I am keeping up the tradition of Volkswagen in my family, it may not be a bug but they still appreciate it! My favorite feature is the heated seats, they are very nice!

1 Year Anniversary!

So we made it! One year down so very many more to go! It has been a crazy busy, emotionally trying, filled with tears and laughter kind of year with my husband! We now understand why people say that your first year of marriage is the most difficult! But though we may have been put through some tests we passed them all, coming out stronger and more connected.
We started our 1st year together with a beautiful wedding, that we had a blast at celebrating our vows and then we went on an awesome honeymoon in San Francisco, which was a wonderful time of just being together! After we got back we were thrown straight into a crazy year!
Francisco had to have emergency surgery to have his appedix out at the begining of the year, we traveled down to San Diego, I got sick all with in a few months. At the begining of the summer we lost my grandma, and I couldn't imagine not having my new husband by side to help support me and my family through that most difficult time! After we recovered a little from that we focused on recovering from the news of being moved to Portland! We now have become excited to move, but you really didn't want to see how stressed it made us when we first found out! We then got to take a fun trip to Vegas with our great friends Brooke and Andy! It was an awesome week and great to get out of town for awhile!
There was more but not worth mentioning now! We ended our first year with a nice weekend of just the two of us and 1 very cold night of camping on the coast, we only stayed one night because it was so cold at night, and dinner and movie! It was great to have my husband all to myself for a whole weekend!
We are looking forward to our married life ahead. We are surviving marriage and the obsticals life trys to put in the way, and are looking forward to facing more of life's chalanges together! We are starting our second year together with an eventual move to Portland and what happens next we shall see!
Much Peace,
Heather

A Wonderful Weekend in September!

So I know this one is late in posting but I am playing some catch up! Lots has been going on, busy, busy, busy!
Anywho! The weekend of September 19th, my brothers birthday by the way, my brother and I drove our Grandpa up to Seattle! We met up with our cousins, just missing 3 of us, and took our Gpa to a Mariners vs Yankee game! It was so much fun! The game didn't go in the Mariners favor and it may have been freezing cold, but we all had a blast and it was great for us to get to spen time together and with our Gpa like that!
On our drive back to Oregon, we made an unexpected stop... it went like this.
Heather- "Hey, Josh have you ever made it to the Air museume yet?"
Josh- "No, but I have wanted to go every time I am up here!
Josh looks in back seat...
Josh- "Hey Grandpa would you want to go to the Air Museume?"
Gpa- "I'm just along for the ride!"
Exit approaching very fast on right.
Josh vers off and we go!
Now if you have ever gone to a museume with my brother you know that you are not leaving until he has seen everything, including the items in the gift shop! I didn't mind though, it was so much fun to go there with my brother and Gpa! Gpa showed us every plane that he had worked on during the war and told us soooooo many awesome stories!
I cherish every moment I get with my family especially my Gpa! He means so much to me and alway has and always will!

The pictures at the top are of Gpa with all of his grandsons (Josh, Ian and Jeremy) and Gpa looking great at the game. Marissa, Carl and Leslie (Carl and Leslie are the sig others of Marisa and Ian) also were there!
